Firstly hope you’re enjoying your trip away and secondly thanks for sharing this with us it was a very interesting read!

I knew you during a period of us both learning and being impressionable and yet I don’t recollect you ever discussing your beliefs and/or trying to force them upon me.

If it’s any interest, I believe it to be relevant I would be classed as an atheist. I don’t believe in God but I wouldn’t be so pretentious to try and enforce my non belief on you. I have debated the subject with many people as it is a very emotive subject. I do think that any belief system as such has it’s plus and it’s negatives taking the two examples of politics and religion as perfect examples. Religion over the years has been used in the name of many a bad deed and caused many wars which you can definitely say the same of politics. Yet religion is essentially a very positive thing for the individual and i am envious of people who do have an inner belief in something whatever it may be. My belief as I have got older is that I treat people in the most part as I would like to be treated occasionally I fail I admit that but I am not afraid to acknowledged that or apologise. The person you spoke to is in my opinion very narrow minded if they cannot at least acknowledge that there is a possibility you may indeed be the correct side of the discussion.
